Yoga is really about finding your true self

Sattvic Yoga is an online platform that encourages you to find your true self by practicing yoga the way it’s meant to be done. Yoga is a relationship that we build between our mind, body and breath. When practiced with proper guidance and mindfulness, yoga will help cope with the stress and anxiety that surrounds us, as we navigate through life’s challenges. Sattvic Yoga focuses on the therapeutic aspect of yoga. We believe that regular yoga practice will help you have a stress free mind and disease free body. After every class, we want you to step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

What is Yoga?

Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita defines yoga as “Samatvam Yoga Uchyate” – Samatva – balanced state, Uchyate – said to be. We get excited in a happy situation and sad in a negative situation – yoga helps to maintain equilibrium of the mind in any situation. It is a balanced state of mind and body, thoughts and emotions.
